Ingredients
- 1 kg potatoes
- 40 g butter
- salt
- nutmeg
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 sprigs rosemary
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius using the top and bottom heat setting.
- 2. Peel the potatoes completely. Trim off both ends of each potato so they are flat.
- 3. Cut or peel the potatoes into one single, long, continuous strip. Make sure the strip does not break.
- 4. Take the soft butter and brush a baking dish with it. Spread the butter evenly on the bottom and sides.
- 5. Place the long potato strips into the prepared dish. Roll them up so they look like a rose.
- 6. Brush the potatoes with the remaining soft butter. Make sure all sides are covered.
- 7. Season the potatoes with salt, pepper, and grated nutmeg. Sprinkle the spices evenly over them.
- 8. Pluck the needles from the rosemary sprigs. Sprinkle the fresh rosemary needles over the potatoes.
- 9. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven. Bake the potatoes for about 45 minutes. They are done when they are golden brown and crispy.
