🍽️ Crispy Romaine Salad with Turkey Strips, Carrots, and Pine Nuts

Ingredients
- 30 g pine nuts
- 4 carrots
- 1 romaine lettuce
- 150 g turkey ham
- 150 g yogurt
- 4 tbsp whipping cream
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp hot mustard
- 3 tbsp freshly chopped herbs (e.g. chervil, parsley, chives)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- sugar
Instructions
- 1. Heat a frying pan without oil or butter.
- 2. Toast the pine nuts in the pan until golden brown.
- 3. Remove the pan from the heat and set the toasted pine nuts aside.
- 4. Peel the carrots.
- 5. Cut the carrots into long batons or use a peeler for thin strips.
- 6. Thoroughly wash the romaine lettuce.
- 7. Remove any wilted or damaged leaves.
- 8. Spin the lettuce dry.
- 9. Cut the romaine lettuce into wide strips.
- 10. Cut the turkey ham into strips as well.
- 11. Place the yogurt in a bowl.
- 12. Add the cream to the yogurt.
- 13. Add the vinegar.
- 14. Add the mustard.
- 15. Add the herbs.
- 16. Whisk the yogurt mixture well.
- 17. Season the sauce with salt.
- 18. Season the sauce with pepper.
- 19. Add a pinch of sugar.
- 20. Taste the sauce to finish.
- 21. Distribute the carrots onto the plates.
- 22. Distribute the leaf lettuce onto the plates.
- 23. Distribute the turkey ham onto the plates.
- 24. Pour the salad dressing over the vegetables and meat.
- 25. Sprinkle the salad with the toasted pine nuts.
- 26. Serve the salad immediately.
