🍳 Whisked Fresh Strawberry Jam

Ingredients
- 500 g strawberries
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 500 g sugar
- 2 tbsp –3 tbsp rum
Instructions
- 1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly.
- 2. Remove the green stems.
- 3. Place the berries in a large bowl.
- 4. Add the lemon juice.
- 5. Add the sugar.
- 6. Mash the fruit with a potato masher.
- 7. Turn on the hand mixer.
- 8. Whisk the mixture for 20 to 25 minutes.
- 9. Turn off the mixer occasionally to prevent overheating.
- 10. Stop when the sugar is completely dissolved.
- 11. Rinse the jars with very hot water.
- 12. Let the jars drip dry on a kitchen towel.
- 13. Swirl a little rum inside each jar.
- 14. Pour the excess rum into a small bowl.
- 15. Cut round pieces of parchment paper.
- 16. The pieces must be large enough to cover the jam completely.
- 17. Dip the paper circles into the rum.
- 18. Fill the jars with the jam.
- 19. Place the wet paper circles directly on the surface.
- 20. Seal the jars with the lids.
- 21. Place the jars in the refrigerator for 12 hours.
- 22. Allow the air to escape.
- 23. Store the jam in a cool place.
