  4. 4. Place the apple pieces, 3 tablespoons of water, sugar, lemon zest, and the spices into a pot.
  5. 5. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes.
  6. 6. Continue cooking until the apples are soft and falling apart.
  7. 7. Finally, season the apple sauce to taste.
  8. 8. Set the apple sauce aside.
  9. 9. Peel the potatoes and wash them.
  10. 10. Grate the potatoes finely.
  11. 11. Peel the onion.
  12. 12. Grate the onion finely as well.
  13. 13. Mix the grated onions with the eggs.
  14. 14. Stir the flour into the potato-onion-egg mixture.
  15. 15. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and some pepper.
