🍽️ Crispy Potato Rösti

Ingredients
- 1.5 kg floury potatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp finely chopped sage leaves
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- oil (for frying)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes.
- 2. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
- 3. Grate the potatoes finely.
- 4. Peel the onion.
- 5. Grate the onion finely.
- 6. Place the grated onion into a bowl.
- 7. Add the grated potatoes to the bowl.
- 8. Add the eggs to the bowl.
- 9. Add the flour to the bowl.
- 10. Add the sage leaves to the bowl.
- 11. Add one teaspoon of salt to the bowl.
- 12. Add a pinch of pepper to the bowl.
- 13. Mix all ingredients well together.
- 14. Heat three tablespoons of oil in a large pan.
- 15. Take about two tablespoons of the potato mixture.
- 16. Place the potato mixture into the hot pan.
- 17. Press the mixture down slightly.
- 18. Fry the rösti until the edges are brown.
- 19. Flip the rösti.
- 20. Finish frying the rösti.
- 21. Preheat the oven to 70 degrees Celsius.
- 22. Keep the finished rösti warm in the oven.
- 23. Serve the rösti with apple sauce or jam.
