🍽️ Crispy Toasts with Roasted Pepper

Ingredients
- 0.5 stick Baguette (12 slices)
- 1 clove Garlic
- Olive oil (cold pressed)
- 1 Bell pepper (yellow)
- 1 Bell pepper (red)
- 1 small Onion
- 1 clove Garlic
- 2 tbsp Basil (chopped)
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
Instructions
- 1. Halve the peppers and remove the seeds.
- 2. Place the pepper halves skin-side up on a baking tray.
- 3. Roast the peppers in the preheated oven at 220 degrees until the skin blisters.
- 4. Remove the peppers from the oven and peel off the browned skin.
- 5. Cut the pepper flesh into thin strips and place them in a bowl.
- 6. Peel the onion and garlic clove and chop them finely.
- 7. Sauté the onion and garlic mixture in two tablespoons of hot oil until translucent.
- 8. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 9. Add the sautéed vegetables and basil to the peppers and mix well.
- 10. Toast the bread slices under the grill for a short time on both sides.
- 11. Rub the warm toasts with the halved garlic clove.
- 12. Drizzle the toasts with a little oil.
- 13. Distribute the pepper mixture evenly over the toasts.
- 14. Serve the toasts immediately.
