  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2. Place the bread slices on a rack and bake them in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Put the oil into a small bowl and press the garlic directly into it.
  4. 4. Stir the oil and garlic together well.
  5. 5. Drizzle the garlic-oil mixture evenly over the warm bread slices.
  6. 6. Take the pickles out of the jar and cut them into small cubes.
  7. 7. Add the pickle cubes to the drained tuna.
  8. 8. Wash the bell pepper and cut it in half lengthwise.
  9. 9. Remove the white inner membranes and seeds from the bell pepper.
  10. 10. Cut the bell pepper flesh into small cubes.
  11. 11. Halve the chili lengthwise and remove the seeds.
  12. 12. Cut the chili into thin strips.
  13. 13. Add the bell pepper cubes and chili strips to the tuna.
  14. 14. Season the tuna mixture with some vinegar and stir everything well.
  15. 15. Spread the tuna mixture evenly over the prepared bread slices.
  16. 16. Cut the basil into thin strips.
  17. 17. Sprinkle the basil strips over the topped toast.
