Ingredients
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 slices white bread (e.g. baguette)
- salt
- 1 hard-boiled egg
- parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the pepper thoroughly.
- 2. Remove the stem and seeds from the pepper.
- 3. Cut the pepper into thin strips.
- 4. Peel the garlic clove.
- 5. Finely chop the garlic.
- 6. Heat some olive oil in a pan.
- 7. Sauté the garlic in the hot oil.
- 8. Add the pepper strips to the pan.
- 9. Sauté the pepper briefly.
- 10. Toast the bread in the toaster until golden brown.
- 11. Hard-boil the egg and peel it.
- 12. Carefully separate the yolk from the white.
- 13. Finely chop the egg white.
- 14. Place the pepper strips on the toasted bread.
- 15. Drizzle some oil from the pan over the bread.
- 16. Sprinkle the chopped egg white over the bread.
- 17. Grate the yolk over the bread or crumble it.
- 18. Season the bread with salt.
- 19. Garnish the bread with fresh parsley.
- 20. Serve the toast immediately.
