  1. 1. Peel the garlic clove and chop it into coarse cubes.
  2. 2. Cut the lime in half and squeeze out the juice.
  3. 3. Place the silken tofu, the chopped garlic, two tablespoons of lime juice, wasabi paste, and sesame oil into a tall container or a mixing cup.
  4. 4. Blend the ingredients with a hand blender until the sauce is smooth.
  5. 5. Season the sauce to taste with salt and pepper.
  6. 6. Heat the oil in a deep pot or a deep fryer to approximately 180 degrees Celsius.
  7. 7. Check the oil temperature by holding the end of a wooden spoon into the hot oil.
  8. 8. If small bubbles form around the wooden handle, the temperature is correct.
  9. 9. Separate the rice noodles and fry them in batches in the hot oil.
  10. 10. Remove the noodles as soon as they turn whitish and crispy.
  11. 11. Lift the noodles out of the oil with a slotted spoon and let them drain on kitchen paper.
  12. 12. Season the crispy noodles lightly with salt.
  13. 13. Lightly toast the sesame seeds in a pan without adding extra fat.
  14. 14. Remove the sesame seeds from the pan and let them cool down.
  15. 15. Clean the romaine lettuce hearts, wash them thoroughly, and dry them in a salad spinner.
  16. 16. Cut the lettuce into bite-sized pieces or tear it into small pieces by hand.
  17. 17. Rinse the tuna steaks under running water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  18. 18. Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper.
  19. 19. Brush a grill pan thinly with the remaining oil and heat it up.
  20. 20. Fry the tuna steaks for about one to two minutes on each side.
  21. 21. Toss the prepared salad with the lime sauce.
  22. 22. Divide the salad among the plates.
  23. 23. Slice the fried tuna.
  24. 24. Place the tuna slices on top of the salad.
  25. 25. Place the crispy rice noodles on the plate.
  26. 26. Sprinkle the dish with the toasted sesame seeds and serve immediately.
