  1. 1. Peel the garlic clove and chop it very finely.
  2. 2. Wash the pepper, remove the stem, and chop it finely.
  3. 3. Mix the chopped vegetables with the olive oil in a bowl.
  4. 4. Cut the beef into cubes of approx. 3 cm.
  5. 5. Season the meat cubes with pepper.
  6. 6. Add the meat to the oil-vegetable mixture and let it marinate for about 1 hour.
  7. 7. Peel the onions and cut them lengthwise into wedges.
  8. 8. Cut the figs into wedges.
  9. 9. Cut the limes into wedges.
  10. 10. Thread the meat, onions, limes, and figs alternately onto 8 long wooden skewers.
  11. 11. Preheat the grill.
  12. 12. Grill the skewers all around for 6 to 8 minutes.
  13. 13. Brush the skewers with the remaining oil occasionally while grilling.
  14. 14. Finally season the finished skewers with salt and pepper.
  15. 15. Serve the skewers with colorful salad as desired.
