🍽️ Tender Beef with Mushroom and Onion Vegetables

Ingredients
- 500 g beef (from leg, round, or chuck)
- salt
- paprika powder
- pepper (from the mill)
- ghee (for searing)
- 4 onions
- 200 g button mushrooms
- 100 ml red wine
- 200 ml hot meat broth
- 2 bay leaves
Instructions
- 1. Heat some ghee in a casserole pot.
- 2. Cut the meat into 4 to 6 equal pieces.
- 3. Season the meat pieces generously all over.
- 4. Sear the meat in the hot fat on all sides.
- 5. Peel the onions and cut them into wedges.
- 6. Add the onion wedges to the meat and let them cook briefly.
- 7. Slice the mushrooms thinly.
- 8. Fry the mushrooms briefly as well.
- 9. Deglaze with red wine once everything has a good color.
- 10. Pour in some beef broth.
- 11. Add the bay leaves to the pot.
- 12. Simmer the meat over moderate heat for 45 to 60 minutes.
- 13. Add more broth gradually if needed.
- 14. Taste the sauce again at the end of the cooking time.
- 15. Serve the meat with the onions and mushrooms.
