🍽️ Spicy Beef Strips with Rice, Broccoli, and Peppers

Ingredients
- 250 g long-grain rice
- salt
- 600 g beef fillet (ready for cooking)
- 3 bell peppers (red, yellow, green)
- 1 small broccoli
- 1.5 cm fresh ginger
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tbsp soybean oil
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 pinch sambal oelek
Instructions
- 1. Put the rice into a pot with 500 milliliters of boiling water that you have previously seasoned with salt.
- 2. Let the rice cook for about 25 minutes.
- 3. Rinse the meat under running water and then pat it dry with a kitchen towel.
- 4. Cut the meat into thin strips.
- 5. Wash the bell peppers thoroughly.
- 6. Halve the bell peppers and remove the seeds and white inner walls.
- 7. Cut the bell peppers into narrow strips as well.
- 8. Wash the broccoli and remove the tough outer leaves.
- 9. Divide the broccoli into small florets.
- 10. Peel the hard skin from the broccoli stem.
- 11. Cut the peeled stem into small cubes.
- 12. Put the broccoli florets and the cubes into a pot with boiling, salted water.
- 13. Blanch the vegetables for about 5 minutes (cook briefly in boiling water).
- 14. Drain the vegetables and rinse them immediately with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 15. Let the vegetables drain well.
- 16. Peel the ginger and the garlic.
- 17. Finely chop the ginger and the garlic.
- 18. Heat oil in a hot wok.
- 19. Fry the meat thoroughly on all sides.
- 20. Take the fried meat out of the wok and set it aside.
- 21. Add the chopped ginger and garlic to the wok.
- 22. Let the spice sweat briefly (cook briefly in fat until fragrant).
- 23. Add the remaining prepared vegetables to the wok.
- 24. Fry the vegetables for 3 to 4 minutes, turning them occasionally.
- 25. Add the fried meat back into the wok.
- 26. Mix everything well together.
- 27. Season the mixture with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sambal olek (hot chili paste).
- 28. Distribute the finished rice onto plates.
- 29. Place the beef wok on top of the rice.
- 30. Serve the dish immediately.
