🍽️ Tender Beef Stew with Mushrooms

Ingredients
- 1 kg braised beef roast
- salt
- black pepper
- 3 cups red wine
- 1 cup water
- 1 small chopped onion
- 1 small chopped carrot
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 sprigs rosemary
- 2 tsp chopped parsley
- 50 g butter
- 1 cup roast stock
- 0.8 kg mixed mushrooms
- 4 tbsp oil
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Season the beef generously with salt and pepper.
- 2. Add all marinade ingredients to a pot.
- 3. Place the meat into the marinade.
- 4. Let the meat marinate covered at room temperature for approx. 8 hours.
- 5. Turn the meat several times during the marinating process.
- 6. Remove the meat from the marinade and let it drain.
- 7. Pat the meat dry with kitchen paper.
- 8. Heat the butter in a casserole dish.
- 9. Sear the meat in the hot butter.
- 10. Pour the meat stock over the meat.
- 11. Place the lid on the casserole dish.
- 12. Place the casserole in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
- 13. Braise the meat for approx. 40 minutes.
- 14. Pour the strained marinade over the meat.
- 15. Braise the meat for another 60 minutes uncovered.
- 16. Thicken the sauce with mixed cornstarch if necessary.
- 17. Clean the mushrooms.
- 18. Fry the mushrooms in a non-stick pan in butter.
- 19. Add the mushrooms to the meat in the last 5 minutes.
- 20. Slice the meat.
- 21. Serve the meat with the mushrooms and sauce on a platter.
