🥤 Fruity Rhubarb Strawberry Smoothie

Ingredients
- 100 g strawberries
- 1 small organic lime
- 2 tbsp low-fat quark
- 1 tsp honey
- 100 ml unsweetened rhubarb juice
- Also: ice cubes
Instructions
- 1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly.
- 2. Pat the berries dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Set aside one large strawberry to use as a garnish later.
- 4. Cut the remaining strawberries into quarters.
- 5. Place the cut berries into a tall blending jar.
- 6. Rinse the lime under running water.
- 7. Dry the lime thoroughly.
- 8. Finely grate the zest of the lime.
- 9. Place the grated zest onto a small plate.
- 10. Cut the lime in half.
- 11. Lightly press the rim of a glass into one lime half.
- 12. Then press the lime rim into the grated zest.
- 13. This creates a green, decorative rim on the glass.
- 14. Squeeze the juice from the second lime half.
- 15. Measure out two tablespoons of lime juice.
- 16. Add the measured juice to the strawberries in the blending jar.
- 17. Add the low-fat quark to the blending jar.
- 18. Pour the rhubarb juice into the jar as well.
- 19. Blend the ingredients until smooth using a hand blender.
- 20. Sweeten the smoothie to taste with honey.
- 21. Add a few ice cubes to the prepared glass.
- 22. Pour the finished smoothie over the ice cubes.
- 23. Make a small slit in the reserved strawberry.
- 24. Place the strawberry on the rim of the glass as a garnish.
