  1. 1. Rinse the Renekloden (a type of plum) under running water.
  2. 2. Carefully cut the fruits in half.
  3. 3. Remove the pits from the plum halves.
  4. 4. Squeeze the lemon to extract the juice.
  5. 5. Add two tablespoons of lemon juice to a pot.
  6. 6. Add the pitted plums, the honey, and the pear juice to the pot.
  7. 7. Bring the mixture to a boil on the stove.
  8. 8. Let the compote simmer for five to six minutes.
  9. 9. Take the cornstarch with a small amount of cold water in a separate bowl.
  10. 10. Stir the starch until smooth and no lumps remain.
  11. 11. Add the mixed starch to the hot compote while stirring continuously.
  12. 12. Let the whole thing boil for one more minute.
  13. 13. Remove the pot from the heat and let the compote cool down for about ten to fifteen minutes.
  14. 14. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise to halve it.
  15. 15. Scrape out the small vanilla seeds (the pulp) from the pod.
  16. 16. Mix the vanilla pulp thoroughly with the yogurt.
  17. 17. Season the yogurt with sweetener if desired.
  18. 18. Serve the cooled plum compote together with the vanilla yogurt.
