🍽️ Pan dish with brown lentils, rice and caramelized onions

Ingredients
- 400 g Basmati rice
- 200 g brown lentils
- 2 onions
- 2 tbsp grape seed oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- light soy sauce
- allspice (ground)
- 1 pinch curry powder
- cayenne pepper
Instructions
- 1. Cook the rice according to the instructions on the package.
- 2. Rinse the cooked rice with cold water and let it drain well.
- 3. Cook the brown lentils according to the package instructions as well.
- 4. Rinse the lentils with cold water as well and let them drain.
- 5. Peel the onions and slice them into thin rings.
- 6. Heat the butter and oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 7. Add the onion rings to the pan.
- 8. Fry the onions slowly until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
- 9. Stir in the allspice and curry powder with the onions.
- 10. Add the drained rice and lentils to the pan.
- 11. Fry everything together for about 3 to 4 minutes.
- 12. Season the dish with soy sauce and cayenne pepper.
- 13. Serve the dish immediately.
