🍽️ Orzo rice noodles with shrimp, lemon, and parmesan

Ingredients
- 500 g orzo pasta
- salt
- 8 large shrimp (kitchen-ready peeled and deveined)
- 1 untreated lemon
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- 75 g freshly grated cheese (e.g. Gruyère)
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
- 2. Cook the orzo noodles in it until al dente (firm to the bite).
- 3. Rinse the shrimp briefly under cold water.
- 4. Pat the shrimp dry with a kitchen towel.
- 5. Finely grate the lemon peel.
- 6. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 7. Peel the garlic.
- 8. Finely chop the garlic.
- 9. Heat oil in a frying pan.
- 10. Sauté the garlic briefly in the hot oil.
- 11. Add the shrimp to the pan.
- 12. Fry the shrimp for one to two minutes.
- 13. Drain the noodles.
- 14. Fold the drained noodles into the shrimp.
- 15. Add a little pasta cooking water if the mixture seems too dry.
- 16. Add the parsley.
- 17. Add the parmesan.
- 18. Add the lemon zest.
- 19. Season with salt.
- 20. Season with the lemon juice.
- 21. Season with pepper.
