  2. 2. Dice the garlic very finely.
  3. 3. Heat sesame oil in a pan.
  4. 4. Sauté the garlic and thawed crab meat in the hot oil.
  5. 5. Deglaze the pan with fish sauce.
  6. 6. Simmer the mixture briefly.
  7. 7. Let the crab mixture cool down completely.
  8. 8. Cut the nori seaweed into thin strips using scissors.
  9. 9. Shape the rice into a compact roll.
  10. 10. Cut slices about 1 cm thick from the rice roll.
  11. 11. Place the rice slices on plates or on washed, edible leaves.
  12. 12. Place a small dollop of wasabi paste in the center of each rice slice.
  13. 13. Drape some crab meat over the paste.
  14. 14. Garnish the bites with the nori strips.
  15. 15. Serve the rice balls.
