🍽️ Creamy Rice Casserole with Peas

Ingredients
- 200 g cooked brown rice
- 600 g peas (frozen)
- salt
- 50 g butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 400 ml milk
- 200 g blue cheese
- 2 eggs
- 8 basil leaves
Instructions
- 1. Put the brown rice, 500 milliliters of water, and a pinch of salt into a pot.
- 2. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 3. Cover the pot.
- 4. Let the rice cook until soft over low heat.
- 5. Let the peas thaw.
- 6. Melt the butter in a pan.
- 7. Stir the flour into the butter.
- 8. Sauté the mixture briefly until it is fragrant.
- 9. Stir in the milk.
- 10. Bring the sauce to a boil.
- 11. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes.
- 12. Stir the sauce occasionally while it cooks.
- 13. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 14. Crumble the cheese into the sauce.
- 15. Stir in the eggs.
- 16. Chop the basil.
- 17. Add the basil to the sauce.
- 18. Grease a baking dish with some butter.
- 19. Spread the rice in the baking dish.
- 20. Place the peas evenly on top of the rice.
- 21. Pour the sauce over the rice and peas.
- 22. Bake the casserole at 200 degrees Celsius for 15 to 18 minutes in the oven.
