🍝 Lentils, rice and pasta in spicy tomato sauce

Ingredients
- 1 cup small brown lentils (may be found in Turkish grocery stores)
- 1 cup short-grain rice
- 150 g noodles (the best fit are about 1 cm long macaroni, available in Italian shops)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 200 g crushed tomatoes (can)
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 5 garlic cloves
- 4 shallots
- salt
- pepper from the mill
- chili flakes
Instructions
- 1. Cook the lentils according to the package instructions.
- 2. Cook the rice according to the package instructions.
- 3. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
- 4. Put the tomatoes and tomato paste into a pot.
- 5. Let the tomato mixture reduce slightly.
- 6. Season the sauce with salt, pepper and chili.
- 7. Peel the shallots.
- 8. Cut the shallots into rings.
- 9. Heat the butter in a frying pan.
- 10. Fry the shallot rings and garlic in the hot butter.
- 11. Fry the ingredients until they are lightly browned.
- 12. Stir the fried shallots and garlic into the tomato sauce.
- 13. Fill the cooked lentils, rice and pasta into a bowl.
- 14. Pour the tomato sauce over the pasta-rice-lentil mixture.
- 15. Sprinkle chili flakes over the dish.
- 16. Serve the dish.
