  3. 3. Peel the onion and slice it into very thin rings.
  4. 4. Hard-boil the eggs.
  5. 5. Peel the cooled eggs.
  6. 6. Slice the eggs into thin rounds.
  7. 7. Toast the bread slices until crunchy.
  8. 8. Spread the prepared cream mixture thinly over all toast slices.
  9. 9. Place smoked salmon, egg slices, and onion rings on half of the toast slices.
  10. 10. Cover the filled toast slices with the remaining slices.
  11. 11. Ensure the cream side faces downward.
  12. 12. Cut the finished toasts diagonally in half.
  13. 13. Stack the halves on top of each other as you like.
