🍽️ Crunchy Bread with Smoked Salmon and Dill-Onion Relish

Ingredients
- 1 handful lamb's lettuce
- 1 handful frisée
- 4 leaves radicchio
- 2 sprigs dill
- 300 g smoked salmon (in pieces)
- 1 red onion
- 1 tsp oil (3 g)
- 2 tbsp mustard seeds
- 3 tbsp pickled capers
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar (20 g)
- salt
- pepper
- 4 slices whole wheat toast
- 4 tsp butter (20 g)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the salads thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Spin the salad dry, for example in a salad spinner.
- 3. Wash the dill under running water.
- 4. Shake the dill dry to remove excess water.
- 5. Finely chop the dill.
- 6. Rinse the smoked salmon under running water.
- 7. Pat the smoked salmon dry with a kitchen towel.
- 8. Slice the smoked salmon into thin slices.
- 9. Peel the onion.
- 10. Cut the onion into very fine cubes.
- 11. Heat the oil in a pan.
- 12. Add the onion cubes to the hot pan.
- 13. Sauté the onions over medium heat for 2 minutes.
- 14. Add the mustard seeds to the pan.
- 15. Add the capers to the pan.
- 16. Add the vinegar to the pan.
- 17. Simmer the mixture over medium heat for approx. 4 minutes.
- 18. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 19. Stir the chopped dill into the onion mixture.
- 20. Season the mixture with salt.
- 21. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 22. Spread the bread thinly with butter.
- 23. Place the salad on the bread.
- 24. Place the smoked salmon slices on the salad.
- 25. Add the onion-dill mixture on top of the salmon.
- 26. Serve the dish immediately.
- 27. Enjoy your meal.
