  1. 1. Thoroughly wash the radishes under running water.
  2. 2. Cut off the tough ends at the top and the root.
  3. 3. Use a vegetable peeler (radish slicer) to cut long, thin spirals from the radishes.
  4. 4. Place the spirals on a plate and sprinkle some salt over them.
  5. 5. Let the radishes sit for a few minutes so the salt draws out the water and makes them crispier.
  6. 6. Pat the radishes dry before serving if there is still a lot of liquid.
  7. 7. Serve the radishes as a side dish or snack.
  8. 8. Garnish the dish with additional fresh radishes as desired.
  9. 9. Serve with fresh peasant bread and butter.
