🍽️ Grandma's Quince Jelly

Ingredients
- 2 kg quinces
- 1 l water
- 250 g honey
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 2.5 tsp agar-agar
Instructions
- 1. Rub the quinces with a kitchen towel to remove the white fuzz.
- 2. Wash the fruits thoroughly.
- 3. Remove the stem and the blossom end from each quince.
- 4. Cut the fruits into quarters.
- 5. Cut the quarters into small pieces.
- 6. Place the quince pieces in a pot.
- 7. Add water.
- 8. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 9. Cook the quinces until they are soft.
- 10. Place the cooked fruits in a jelly bag.
- 11. Let the juice drip into a pot.
- 12. Take 1 liter of quince juice.
- 13. Briefly boil the juice with honey.
- 14. Add lemon juice.
- 15. Stir in the agar-agar powder. This is a plant-based gelling agent.
- 16. Bring the mixture to a boil again for about 2 minutes.
- 17. Fill the jelly into sterile jars.
- 18. Seal the jars well.
- 19. Place the jars upside down to cool.
