- 1.5 kg Quinces
- Lemons
- 1 kg Jam Sugar
Instructions
- 1. Wipe the quinces clean with a cloth, remove the blossom end and the stem base, and cut the fruits into eighths. Bring lemon juice and 1 1/4 liters of water to a boil, add the quince pieces, and let them simmer covered for 40 minutes.
- 2. Let the quinces cool down, let them drain, and press the juice through a cloth to collect it. Measure exactly 1 liter of quince juice, mix it with pectin sugar, and boil the mixture for 4 minutes.
- 3. Skim off the rising foam repeatedly. Fill the jelly into jars that have been rinsed with hot water and seal them tightly.
