🍽️ Quince Pieces in Cognac Syrup

Ingredients
- 2 kg quinces
- 500 g sugar
- 500 g honey
- 4 tbsp wine vinegar
- 1 stalks cinnamon
- 750 ml water
- 125 ml cognac
Instructions
- 1. Peel the quinces.
- 2. Remove the core.
- 3. Cut the fruit into quarters.
- 4. Slice them into even pieces.
- 5. Break the cinnamon stick into small bits.
- 6. Put sugar, honey, vinegar, the cinnamon pieces, and water into a pot.
- 7. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 8. Add the quince slices.
- 9. Let them steep over low heat for 20 to 30 minutes.
- 10. Remove the fruit.
- 11. Layer the fruit into prepared jars.
- 12. Continue boiling the liquid until it has thickened slightly.
- 13. Let the liquid cool.
- 14. Stir in the cognac.
- 15. Pour the finished syrup over the fruit.
- 16. Seal the jars immediately.
- 17. Let the jars cool.
