🍳 Quinoa Breakfast

Ingredients
- 200 g quinoa
- 500 ml almond milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tbsp honey
- 600 g mixed berries (e.g. blackberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 3 tbsp almonds (15 g each)
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
Instructions
- 1. Place the quinoa grains in a fine mesh sieve.
- 2. Rinse the grains under hot water.
- 3. Repeat the rinsing until the running water is clear.
- 4. Pour the almond milk into a pot.
- 5. Add a pinch of salt to the pot.
- 6. Add a cinnamon stick to the pot.
- 7. Bring the mixture in the pot to a boil.
- 8. Stir in the rinsed quinoa grains.
- 9. Reduce the heat to a low setting.
- 10. Let the quinoa simmer for about 15 minutes.
- 11. Remove the pot from the heat source.
- 12. Cover the pot.
- 13. Let the quinoa rest for another 5 minutes.
- 14. Remove the cinnamon stick from the pot.
- 15. Sweeten the breakfast to taste with honey.
- 16. Wash the berries thoroughly.
- 17. Gently pat the berries dry with a kitchen towel.
- 18. Chop the almonds into coarse pieces.
- 19. Divide the quinoa breakfast among several plates.
- 20. Garnish the breakfast with the berries.
- 21. Garnish the breakfast with the almonds.
- 22. Sprinkle some cinnamon powder over it.
- 23. Serve the breakfast immediately.
- 24. Ensure the breakfast is still warm.
