🍽️ Quark Waffles (Basic Recipe)

Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 eggs
- 250 g low-fat quark
- 100 ml unsweetened oat drink (oat milk)
- 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 80 g fine oat flakes
- 50 g spelt wholemeal flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 0.5 tsp cinnamon
- 100 g unsweetened applesauce
- 100 g yogurt (3.5% fat)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the banana.
- 2. Place the banana in a bowl.
- 3. Mash the banana with a fork.
- 4. Add the eggs, quark, oat drink, and oil to the bowl.
- 5. Mix the ingredients well.
- 6. Sprinkle in the oat flakes, wholemeal flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
- 7. Mix everything into a smooth batter.
- 8. Cover the bowl.
- 9. Let the batter rest in the refrigerator for 5 minutes.
- 10. Preheat a non-stick waffle iron.
- 11. Stir the batter briefly.
- 12. Place 2 to 3 tablespoons of batter on the lower baking surface of the waffle iron.
- 13. Close the waffle iron.
- 14. Bake the waffle golden brown in about 4 minutes.
- 15. Place the finished waffle on a plate.
- 16. Repeat steps 12 to 15 until about 6 waffles are baked.
- 17. Serve the waffles with unsweetened applesauce and yogurt.
