🍰 Fruity Quark Cream Cake with Strawberries

Ingredients
- 1 kg strawberries
- 1 untreated orange
- 4 tbsp orange liqueur
- 250 g low-fat quark
- 2 tbsp liquid honey
- milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 0.25 l whipping cream
- 2 tbsp pistachio kernels
Instructions
- 1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly.
- 2. Pat the strawberries dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Set aside some whole strawberries for decoration.
- 4. Halve the remaining strawberries.
- 5. Grate half of the orange peel finely.
- 6. Squeeze the orange to extract the juice.
- 7. Mix the orange liqueur with the orange juice and the grated peel.
- 8. Pour the mixture over the halved strawberries.
- 9. Let the strawberries marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, covered.
- 10. Stir the quark with a little milk until creamy.
- 11. Fold the honey into the quark mixture.
- 12. Fold the vanilla sugar into the quark mixture.
- 13. Fold a pinch of nutmeg into the quark mixture.
- 14. Whip the cream until stiff.
- 15. Gently fold the whipped cream into the quark cream.
- 16. Place a layer of quark cream into well-chilled dessert glasses.
- 17. Place a layer of the marinated strawberries on top of the quark cream.
- 18. Repeat the layering until the glasses are filled.
- 19. Finish the dessert with a layer of quark cream.
- 20. Decorate the dessert with the reserved whole strawberries.
- 21. Finely chop the pistachios.
- 22. Sprinkle the pistachios over the finished dessert.
