🍰 Fruity Quark Casserole

Ingredients
- 200 g Quark (20 %)
- 3 Eggs
- 1 Vanilla pod (use the seeds)
- 1 unpeeled Lemon (use the grated zest)
- 50 g Sugar
- Butter (for the baking dish)
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 2 Kiwis
- 200 g Strawberries
- Icing sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly.
- 2. Remove the green stems from the strawberries.
- 3. Slice the strawberries into thin pieces.
- 4. Peel the kiwis.
- 5. Cut the kiwis into wedges.
- 6. Separate the eggs so that the yolks and whites are distinct.
- 7. Stir the egg yolks until smooth with the quark.
- 8. Fold the vanilla seeds into the quark and yolk mixture.
- 9. Fold the lemon zest into the quark mixture.
- 10. Whip the egg whites stiff with the sugar.
- 11. Fold the starch into the quark mixture.
- 12. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the quark mixture.
- 13. Pour the mixture into a buttered baking dish.
- 14. Distribute the prepared fruits over the quark mixture.
- 15. Preheat the oven to 200°C with fan.
- 16. Bake the casserole for approx. 20 minutes until golden brown.
- 17. Dust the finished casserole with powdered sugar before serving.
