Ingredients
- 200 g Skyr
- 100 ml Oil
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 3 tsp Baking powder
- 300 g Flour
- 2 small tart Boskop apples
- Flour (for working)
- Crystallized sugar
Instructions
- 1. Mix the quark, oil, and sugar in a bowl. Then, gently knead the flour and baking powder (a leavening agent that fluffs the dough) into the mixture.
- 2. Peel the apples and grate them finely. Immediately knead the grated apples into the dough.
- 3. With hands lightly dusted with flour, shape small rolls from the dough. Place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Make a small slit on top of each roll. Brush the rolls lightly with water and sprinkle with sugar crystals.
- 4. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 35 minutes.
