🍽️ Marinated Turkey Drumsticks in the Oven

Ingredients
- 2 turkey drumsticks
- 4 crushed juniper berries
- 1 tsp black peppercorns
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 1 sprig thyme
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 red chili peppers
- 0.125 l olive or rapeseed oil
- 2 slices lemons
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 0.125 l white wine
- 0.125 l broth
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the turkey drumsticks under running water.
- 2. Pat the drumsticks completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
- 4. Coat the turkey drumsticks evenly with the marinade.
- 5. Place lemon slices on top of the marinated drumsticks.
- 6. Cover the drumsticks and place them in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
- 7. Turn the drumsticks over several times during the marinating process.
- 8. Heat ghee (clarified butter) in a large casserole dish.
- 9. Remove the turkey drumsticks from the marinade.
- 10. Season the drumsticks generously with salt.
- 11. Sear the drumsticks on all sides in the pan.
- 12. Deglaze the drumsticks with wine.
- 13. Pour in the broth.
- 14. Place the casserole dish in the oven preheated to 175 degrees Celsius.
- 15. Roast the drumsticks for about 1 hour.
- 16. Occasionally baste the drumsticks with the pan juices during cooking.
