🍽️ Shredded Turkey with Carrots

Ingredients
- 500 g turkey breast fillet
- 300 g carrots
- 1 tbsp ghee
- salt
- pepper
- 250 ml chicken broth
- 100 ml whipping cream
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 2 tbsp sauce thickener
- 3 tbsp medium-hot mustard
- 2 tsp orange marmalade
Instructions
- 1. Wash the turkey breast fillet and pat it dry with a kitchen towel. Slice the meat into thin slices first, then cut into fine strips.
- 2. Fry the turkey strips in batches in hot oil until seared and season to taste. Add the carrots and fry briefly. Deglaze with the broth, bring to a boil, and simmer for about 10 minutes. Finally, stir in the cream.
- 3. Wash the thyme and pat it dry. Pluck the small leaves from the stems and chop them roughly. Thicken the sauce by stirring in the thyme, mustard, and orange marmalade into the turkey. Taste and adjust seasoning. Basmati rice makes a perfect side dish.
