🍽️ Juicy Turkey Roast in a Cooking Bag

Ingredients
- 1.5 kg Turkey Breast Fillet (elongated piece)
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 2 Shallots
- 50 ml Vegetable Broth (instant)
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 4 tbsp Orange Marmalade
- 4 tbsp Liquid Honey
- Tabasco
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the turkey breast under running water.
- 2. Pat the meat completely dry with kitchen paper.
- 3. Season the meat lightly with salt and pepper.
- 4. Tie the roast with kitchen twine if necessary to help it keep its shape.
- 5. Heat oil and butter in a large pan.
- 6. Sear the roast on all sides briefly until golden brown.
- 7. Remove the roast from the pan and set it aside.
- 8. Peel the shallots.
- 9. Halve the shallots lengthwise.
- 10. Cut the shallots into wedges.
- 11. Close one end of the roasting bag.
- 12. Place the roast inside the bag.
- 13. Pour the broth into the bag.
- 14. Add the shallots to the bag.
- 15. Close the other end of the bag.
- 16. Make a few small holes in the bag according to the package instructions.
- 17. Place the bag on a baking sheet.
- 18. Whisk soy sauce, orange marmalade, honey, and a few drops of Tabasco in a small bowl.
- 19. Stir until a smooth marinade has formed.
- 20. Remove the roasting bag from the oven.
- 21. Turn on the oven grill.
- 22. Take the roast out of the bag.
- 23. Place the roast on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
- 24. Brush the roast generously with the marinade.
- 25. Grill the roast for 6 to 8 minutes.
- 26. Grill until the surface is caramelized and lightly browned.
- 27. Remove the roast from the oven.
- 28. Let the roast cool slightly.
- 29. Place the roast covered in a cool place.
- 30. Slice the roast only after it has cooled.
