🍽️ Tropical Turkey Bagel Sandwich

Ingredients
- 250 g small mango (1 small mango)
- 0.5 lime
- 0.5 bunch lemon balm
- 150 g paper-thin turkey cutlets (2 paper-thin turkey cutlets)
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 2 whole grain bagels
- 15 g butter (1 tbsp)
- mild curry powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the mango thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Peel the mango using a vegetable peeler.
- 3. Slice the flesh into thin pieces, making sure to remove the pit.
- 4. Rinse the lime half with hot water and dry it thoroughly.
- 5. Finely grate the lime zest to use it in the recipe.
- 6. Squeeze the lime to extract the juice.
- 7. Rinse the lemon balm and shake off excess water.
- 8. Pluck the leaves from the stems.
- 9. Cut the lemon balm leaves into thin strips.
- 10. Rinse the turkey cutlets and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- 11. Season the cutlets with salt and pepper.
- 12. Heat oil in a grill pan.
- 13. Fry the turkey cutlets for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
- 14. Slice the bagels in half horizontally.
- 15. Spread butter on the bagel halves.
- 16. Sprinkle some curry powder over the buttered bagel halves.
- 17. Distribute the mango slices on the bottom bagel halves.
- 18. Drizzle some lime juice over the mango slices.
- 19. Sprinkle the thin strips of lemon balm over the mango.
- 20. Sprinkle the grated lime zest over the top.
- 21. Place one fried turkey cutlet on each of the topped bagel halves.
- 22. Fold the top bagel halves over to close the sandwich.
- 23. Decorate the sandwiches as desired with small pirate flags.
- 24. Serve the sandwiches immediately.
- 25. Pack the second bagel in a lunchbox or paper bag for later.
