🍽️ Turkey Chili with Cheddar

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 stalk celery
- 2 green chili peppers
- 600 g ground turkey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 400 ml meat broth
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 250 g kidney beans (can)
- 4 tbsp sour cream
- 50 g freshly grated cheddar
- cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Heat a large pan with a little oil over medium-high heat.
- 2. Peel the onion and garlic and chop both very finely.
- 3. Wash the celery, remove the tough stalks, and cut the vegetable into small cubes.
- 4. Wash the chili peppers, remove the seeds, and chop them finely.
- 5. Fry the ground turkey in the hot pan until it breaks into small crumbles and is lightly browned.
- 6. Add the chopped onion, garlic, celery cubes, and chili to the pan.
- 7. Sauté the vegetables together with the meat for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 8. Stir in the tomato paste and deglaze the mixture with the meat broth.
- 9. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- 10. Simmer the chili under a lid on low heat for about 30 minutes.
- 11. Wash the canned beans and drain them well in a colander.
- 12. Add the drained beans to the chili and cook everything for another 5 minutes.
- 13. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more broth and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper again.
- 14. Divide the chili among individual bowls.
- 15. Add a dollop of sour cream to each chili.
- 16. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the top.
- 17. Garnish the dish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
