🍽️ Tender Turkey Breast with Cubed Pumpkin

Ingredients
- 400 g turkey breast fillet
- 300 g pumpkin flesh
- 1 star anise
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 100 g whipping cream
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 2 fresh bay leaves (the strips for garnishing)
Instructions
- 1. Cut the pumpkin flesh into bite-sized cubes.
- 2. Bring water to a boil and add some salt.
- 3. Cook the pumpkin cubes in the boiling salted water for about 10 minutes.
- 4. Drain the pumpkin and let it drip dry.
- 5. Season the turkey breast with salt and pepper.
- 6. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in an oven-safe pan.
- 7. Sear the turkey breast firmly on one side.
- 8. Turn the meat and place the pan in the preheated oven.
- 9. Roast the meat at 180 degrees for about 12 minutes.
- 10. Mix turmeric with cream in a small bowl.
- 11. Pour the turmeric cream mixture into the pan when there are 3 minutes of cooking time left.
- 12. Heat some ghee in a separate pan.
- 13. Fry the prepared pumpkin firmly on all sides for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 14. Season the pumpkin with salt and pepper at the end.
- 15. Slice the cooked turkey breast into thick slices.
- 16. Arrange the meat slices on a platter.
- 17. Pour the sauce over the meat and add the pumpkin.
- 18. Garnish the dish with bay leaf strips and star anise.
