🍽️ Crispy Cream Puffs

Ingredients
- 125 ml water
- 125 ml milk
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch sugar
- 75 g butter
- 150 g flour
- 4 eggs
- 500 g whipping cream
- sprinkles
Instructions
- 1. Put milk, water, a pinch of salt, some sugar, and the butter into a pot.
- 2. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
- 3. Remove the pot from the heat briefly.
- 4. Pour in the flour all at once.
- 5. Stir vigorously with a wooden spoon.
- 6. Stop stirring when the dough forms a firm ball that pulls away from the bottom of the pot.
- 7. Make sure a white layer forms on the bottom of the pot.
- 8. Transfer the dough to a separate bowl.
- 9. Stir in one egg into the dough immediately.
- 10. Wait until the dough is smooth again.
- 11. Add the next egg as soon as the previous stage is reached.
- 12. Check if the dough shines and falls heavily from the spoon.
- 13. Fill the finished dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- 14. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 15. Sprinkle sugar crystals on the parchment paper.
- 16. Pipe tennis ball-sized pastes onto the sheet.
- 17. Also sprinkle the tops of the pastes with sugar crystals.
- 18. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- 19. Bake the pastes for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
- 20. Remove the pastes from the oven.
- 21. Let them cool completely.
- 22. Cut the pastes in half horizontally.
- 23. Whip the cream until very stiff.
- 24. Fill the stiff cream into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
- 25. Fill the pastes generously with the cream.
- 26. Serve the cream puffs immediately.
