🍽️ Pear and Cranberry Jam

Ingredients
- 4 pears (600 g)
- 1 kg jam sugar
- 1 packet citric acid
- 6 cardamom pods
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- 500 g cranberries
Instructions
- 1. Wash the pears thoroughly.
- 2. Cut the pears into four equal quarters.
- 3. Remove the core from each pear quarter.
- 4. Peel the pears completely.
- 5. Dice the peeled pears into small cubes.
- 6. Place the pear cubes into a large pot.
- 7. Add the jam sugar to the pot.
- 8. Add the citric acid to the mixture.
- 9. Place the cardamom pods (the whole seed capsules of the plant) into the pot.
- 10. Sprinkle cinnamon into the mixture.
- 11. Stir all ingredients in the pot well until they are mixed.
- 12. Let the mixture stand overnight so that the flavors can infuse well.
- 13. Rinse the cranberries under running water.
- 14. Remove any damaged or unripe berries.
- 15. Add the cleaned cranberries to the pear mixture in the pot.
- 16. Heat the mixture while stirring constantly until it boils.
- 17. Let the jam bubble and cook over medium heat.
- 18. Cook the jam for exactly four minutes.
- 19. Remove the pot from the heat when the time is up.
- 20. Fill the hot jam immediately into clean, dry jars.
- 21. Seal the jars tightly with lids.
