  3. 3. Peel the shallots and the garlic.
  4. 4. Halve the shallots.
  5. 5. Dice or chop the shallots and garlic very finely.
  6. 6. Put the diced shallots, garlic, port wine, and broth into a pot.
  7. 7. Heat the mixture in the pot.
  8. 8. Add the honey to the mixture.
  9. 9. Let the mixture reduce for about 20 minutes.
  10. 10. Remove the pot from the heat.
  11. 11. Let the mixture cool down.
  12. 12. Wash the thyme.
  13. 13. Shake the thyme dry.
  14. 14. Pluck the thyme leaves from the stems.
  15. 15. Finely chop the thyme leaves.
  16. 16. Stir the chopped thyme leaves into the cooled onion mixture.
  17. 17. Season the mixture with salt.
  18. 18. Season the mixture with pepper.
  19. 19. Add a pinch of ground cumin.
  20. 20. Mix the seasoned onion mixture with the fluffy butter.
  21. 21. Fill the butter into small bowls.
  22. 22. Place the bowls in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  23. 23. Garnish the finished butter with thyme flowers.
  24. 24. Serve the port wine butter.
