  1. 1. Mix the oat flakes and the wheat crisps in a large bowl.
  2. 2. Heat the coconut oil and the maple syrup in a small pot until the mixture boils.
  3. 3. Let the liquid mixture simmer gently for about one minute over low heat.
  4. 4. Pour the warm liquid over the dry ingredients and stir everything well.
  5. 5. Line a baking pan with baking paper.
  6. 6. Fill the bar mixture into the prepared pan.
  7. 7. Press the mixture firmly and smoothly with a spoon so that it is about three centimeters high.
  8. 8. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius top/bottom heat (or 150 degrees Celsius fan-forced).
  9. 9. Bake the bars for 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
  10. 10. Remove the pan from the oven and let the mixture cool down completely.
  11. 11. Carefully cut the cooled mass into individual bars.
  12. 12. Melt the chocolate over a hot water bath.
  13. 13. Dip the bottom of each bar briefly into the liquid chocolate.
  14. 14. Place the bars with the chocolate side down on a cake rack or fresh baking paper.
  15. 15. Pour the remaining chocolate over the bars.
  16. 16. Put the bars in the refrigerator until the chocolate is hard.
