🍽️ Crispy Sweet Potato Fries from the Oven

Ingredients
- 1.2 kg sweet potatoes
- 0.5 tsp fennel seeds
- 0.5 tsp coriander seeds
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 1 sprig rosemary
- coarse sea salt
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 3. Peel the sweet potatoes.
- 4. Cut the sweet potatoes into sticks about 2 centimeters thick.
- 5. Put the oil, fennel seeds, and coriander seeds into a large bowl.
- 6. Mix the spices with the oil.
- 7. Press the peeled garlic into the bowl.
- 8. Season the mixture with a little salt and pepper.
- 9. Add the sweet potato sticks to the bowl.
- 10. Toss the sticks well so they are coated with the seasoning.
- 11. Place the sweet potato sticks on the prepared baking tray.
- 12. Bake the fries in the oven for about 30 minutes.
- 13. Remove the fries from the oven when they are soft.
- 14. Rinse the thyme and rosemary under cold water.
- 15. Shake the herbs dry.
- 16. Strip the leaves from the thyme and the needles from the rosemary stems.
- 17. Chop the herbs finely.
- 18. Mix the chopped herbs with 1 tablespoon of salt.
- 19. Sprinkle the finished sweet potato fries with the herb salt.
- 20. Serve the fries immediately.
