🍽️ Crispy Polenta Pizzas

Ingredients
- 400 g tomatoes (cut into pieces)
- 1 kg ready-made polenta (-mass, rolled, drained and cut into 8 slices)
- 1 green bell pepper (seeded and cut into strips)
- 75 g mushrooms (sliced)
- 50 g salami (sliced)
- 50 g black olives (pitted)
- 75 g mozzarella (-cheese, drained and grated)
- 1 clove garlic (peeled and crushed)
- 0.5 tsp dried oregano
- 3 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp pesto
Instructions
- 1. Put the tomatoes, oregano, and garlic into a pot.
- 2. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
- 3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the sauce for 6 to 8 minutes.
- 4. Stir occasionally until the sauce has thickened.
- 5. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 6. Season the sauce generously to taste.
- 7. Set the sauce aside.
- 8. Grease a frying pan well with fat.
- 9. Place the polenta slices individually into the hot pan.
- 10. Fry the slices on high heat for about 6 to 8 minutes.
- 11. Turn the slices so they brown on both sides.
- 12. Remove the fried polenta slices from the pan.
- 13. Heat 1 teaspoon of oil in the same pan.
- 14. Fry the pepper strips for 2 minutes.
- 15. Add the mushrooms to the pan.
- 16. Fry the vegetables for another 4 minutes.
- 17. Remove the pan from the heat.
- 18. Set the fried vegetables aside.
- 19. Spread the prepared tomato sauce over the polenta slices.
- 20. Top the pizzas with the fried vegetables.
- 21. Serve the pizzas with a crisp salad as a side dish.
