🍽️ Christmas Cookies with Icing

Ingredients
- 60 g Butter
- 50 g raw cane sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 100 g whole wheat flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 100 g powdered sugar from raw cane sugar
- various food coloring
Instructions
- 1. Beat the butter and raw cane sugar together with a hand mixer until creamy.
- 2. Stir in the egg and cinnamon.
- 3. Mix the flour with the salt.
- 4. Add the flour mixture to the dough.
- 5. Wrap the dough in cling film.
- 6. Place the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 7. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface to a thickness of about 0.5 cm.
- 8. Cut out Christmas tree shapes from the dough.
- 9. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 10. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius conventional heat (fan 160 degrees; gas level 2 to 3).
- 11. Bake the cookies for about 12 to 15 minutes.
- 12. Remove the cookies from the oven.
- 13. Let the cookies cool completely.
- 14. Mix the powdered sugar with one tablespoon of water to form a thick icing.
- 15. Brush the cooled Christmas trees with the icing.
- 16. Let the icing dry for a short while.
- 17. Color the remaining icing with food coloring.
- 18. Use a toothpick to drip small colorful dots onto the white icing.
