🍕 Pizza Toast Squares

Ingredients
- 5 dried, marinated tomatoes (in oil)
- 2 marinated anchovy fillets (in oil)
- 2 spring onions
- 1 bunch basil
- 1 tbsp chopped capers
- 1 garlic clove
- 125 g mozzarella
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 3 beefsteak tomatoes
- 6 slices toast bread
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Let the dried tomatoes and anchovy fillets drain well.
- 3. Cut the dried tomatoes and anchovies into thin strips.
- 4. Wash the spring onions and remove the tough ends.
- 5. Slice the spring onions, including the green parts, into thin rings.
- 6. Pluck the basil leaves from the stems.
- 7. Wash the basil leaves and spin them dry.
- 8. Set aside a few fresh basil leaves for decoration.
- 9. Cut the remaining basil into thin strips.
- 10. Mix the tomato strips with the spring onion rings.
- 11. Add the cut basil strips to the mixture.
- 12. Add the capers to the mixture.
- 13. Add the anchovy fillets to the mixture.
- 14. Press the garlic through and add it to the mixture.
- 15. Let the mozzarella drain.
- 16. Cut the mozzarella into small cubes.
- 17. Fold the mozzarella cubes into the vegetable-garlic mixture.
- 18. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 19. Wash the beefsteak tomato.
- 20. Remove the stem area from the beefsteak tomato.
- 21. Slice the beefsteak tomato into thin slices.
- 22. Top the bread with the tomato slices.
- 23. Distribute the mozzarella mixture evenly over the bread.
- 24. Drizzle some oil over the topped toast slices.
- 25. Place the toast slices on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 26. Bake the toast slices in the preheated oven for about 12 minutes.
- 27. Remove the toast slices from the oven.
- 28. Cut the toast slices diagonally in half.
- 29. Garnish the toast halves with the reserved basil leaves.
- 30. Serve the pizza toast squares.
