  1. 1. Dissolve the yeast in a small amount of lukewarm water.
  2. 2. Stir in the sugar until the yeast has completely dissolved.
  3. 3. Mix the yeast mixture with the remaining dough ingredients.
  4. 4. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
  5. 5. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 50 degrees Celsius to maintain the ideal rising temperature.
  7. 7. Sprinkle some flour on your work surface.
  8. 8. Roll the dough out into a rectangle measuring approximately 30 by 35 centimeters.
  9. 9. Distribute the basil leaves evenly over the dough.
  10. 10. Add the mozzarella cubes on top.
  11. 11. Place the ham pieces on top.
  12. 12. Sprinkle the parmesan over it.
  13. 13. Distribute the walnuts evenly over the surface.
  14. 14. Fold in the two long sides of the dough slightly towards the center.
  15. 15. Roll the dough up tightly starting from the short side.
  16. 16. Place the roll seam-side down on a greased baking sheet.
  17. 17. Poke the dough several times deeply with a long needle, all the way to the bottom.
  18. 18. Brush the surface with a little olive oil.
  19. 19. Press the thyme sprigs slightly into the dough.
  20. 20. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  21. 21. Bake the rolls for about 35 minutes until golden brown.
  22. 22. Remove the rolls from the oven.
  23. 23. Drizzle them again with a little oil.
  24. 24. Let the rolls cool down.
  25. 25. Slice the cooled rolls into pieces.
  26. 26. Serve the pizza rolls.
