🍕 Quick Sardine Pizza with Fresh Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 300 g flour
- 20 g fresh yeast
- 150 ml lukewarm water
- salt
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 400 g tomatoes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp oregano
- salt
- pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 16 small anchovy fillets (anchovies in salt)
- 10 black olives (pitted)
Instructions
- 1. Place the flour in a large bowl and press a well into the center with your thumb.
- 2. Crumble the fresh yeast into some lukewarm water and stir until smooth.
- 3. Pour the yeast mixture into the well, dust lightly with flour, and let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
- 4. Add the remaining water, salt, and oil.
- 5. Knead everything into a smooth and elastic dough.
- 6. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- 7. Wait until the volume of the dough has almost doubled.
- 8. Blanch the tomatoes by pouring boiling water over them.
- 9. Let them sit briefly, shock them under cold water, and peel off the skins.
- 10. Dice the peeled tomatoes into small cubes.
- 11. Place the tomato cubes in a pot with one tablespoon of oil.
- 12. Simmer the sauce over high heat for about 5 minutes.
- 13. Finely chop the garlic.
- 14. Rinse the sardine fillets briefly and pat them dry.
- 15. Chop the olives finely.
- 16. Grease a baking sheet with a little oil.
- 17. Knead the dough once more briefly.
- 18. Roll out the dough and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- 19. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
- 20. Place the sardine fillets on the pizza.
- 21. Sprinkle the chopped garlic and olives over the top.
- 22. Season with oregano, salt, and pepper.
- 23. Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the pizza.
- 24. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius.
- 25. Bake the pizza in the hot oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
- 26. Serve the pizza with a fresh arugula salad.
