🍕 Spooky Mini Pizzas for Halloween

Ingredients
- 1 small onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 125 g pureed tomatoes
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tsp dried herbs
- 125 g spelt flour Type 630
- 125 g whole wheat flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 125 g low-fat quark (drained)
- 8 tbsp milk (3.5% fat)
- 6 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 250 g mozzarella (2 balls)
- 10 black olives
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and garlic and chop them very finely.
- 2. Heat the olive oil in a pot.
- 3. Sauté the onions and garlic over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
- 4. Add the tomatoes to the pot.
- 5. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and dried herbs.
- 6. Simmer the sauce over low heat for 10 minutes.
- 7. Remove the sauce from the heat and set it aside.
- 8. Mix the flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
- 9. Add the quark, milk, and rapeseed oil to the flour mixture.
- 10. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough using the dough hooks of a hand mixer.
- 11. Dust the work surface with a little flour.
- 12. Roll out the dough on the floured surface to a thickness of about 0.5 cm.
- 13. Cut out 12 circles with a diameter of approx. 8 cm from the dough.
- 14. Place the dough circles on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 15. Spread the prepared tomato sauce evenly over the dough circles.
- 16. Pat the mozzarella balls dry with kitchen paper.
- 17. Cut each mozzarella ball into 6 equal slices.
- 18. Take half of the mozzarella slices.
- 19. Use a ghost-shaped cutter to cut out 6 ghost shapes from these slices.
- 20. Set the mozzarella ghosts aside.
- 21. Distribute the remaining mozzarella slices onto 6 of the mini pizzas.
- 22. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (180 °C fan or gas mark 3).
- 23. Bake the pizzas in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- 24. Take 3 olives and halve them lengthwise.
- 25. Take another 3 olives and halve them widthwise.
- 26. Halve the remaining olives lengthwise.
- 27. Cut these lengthwise-halved olives into small rings.
- 28. Cut 12 small pieces from the olives for the ghost eyes.
- 29. Remove the pizzas from the oven.
- 30. Place one mozzarella ghost on each of the 6 still hot, untopped pizzas.
- 31. Place the small olive pieces as eyes on the ghosts.
- 32. Decorate the 6 pizzas with mozzarella topping with spiders made from the olive rings and halves.
