🍰 Pistachio Caramel Bar

Ingredients
- 250 g powdered sugar
- 30 g cocoa powder
- 100 g butter
- 75 ml milk
- 40 g pistachios (chopped)
- 1 vanilla pod
- 20 g butter (for the pan)
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 1 lemon (juiced)
Instructions
- 1. Sift the powdered sugar and cocoa powder together into a saucepan.
- 2. Add the butter and milk to the dry mixture.
- 3. Heat the mixture while stirring constantly until it comes to a boil.
- 4. Let the caramel mixture simmer on medium heat for about 20 minutes.
- 5. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
- 6. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the pistachios and vanilla seeds.
- 7. Grease a baking pan with a little butter.
- 8. Pour the warm caramel mixture into the prepared pan.
- 9. Smooth the surface with a spoon or spatula.
- 10. Place the pan on a wire rack and let the cake cool down completely.
- 11. Allow the mixture to set while cooling.
- 12. Mix powdered sugar with one to two teaspoons of lemon juice to create a thick glaze.
- 13. Turn the cooled cake out of the pan.
- 14. Fill the lemon glaze into a small piping bag.
- 15. Decorate the surface of the caramel with fine lines from the bag.
- 16. Let the decoration dry for a short while.
- 17. Cut the bar into squares of about 2.5 centimeters.
- 18. Store the pieces well packed in an airtight container.
