  2. 2. Cook the penne pasta in the boiling salted water for 15 to 20 minutes until al dente (firm to the bite).
  3. 3. Slice the Cabanossi sausages into thin rounds.
  4. 4. Peel the onion and the garlic.
  5. 5. Finely dice the onion and the garlic.
  6. 6. Heat the oil in a pan.
  7. 7. Sauté the onions and garlic in the hot oil until they become translucent.
  8. 8. Add the sausage slices and fry them.
  9. 9. Stir in the tomato paste and fry it briefly.
  10. 10. Add the peeled tomatoes.
  11. 11. Crush the tomatoes in the pan.
  12. 12. Let the sauce simmer gently covered for approx. 20 minutes.
  13. 13. Season the sauce with lemon juice, sugar, oregano, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  14. 14. Drain the corn.
  15. 15. Stir the corn into the sauce.
  16. 16. Remove the sauce from the heat.
  17. 17. Let the sauce rest covered.
  18. 18. Garnish the dish with chive rings.
